Description

The Quality Assurance Technician 1 works under direct supervision and uses diagnostic software to test equipment used in hydraulic fracturing for issues within the engine, transmission, software controls, and manual gauges, etc.; trains cross-functionally to develop and advance the role; and ensures success of the Quality Assurance (QA) team to effectively resolve issues.

  • Under supervision, use diagnostic software to analyze hydraulic fracturing equipment to capture issues within the engine, transmission, software controls, manual gauges, power end, fluid end, etc.
  • Always maintain integrity when checking the processes of the organization's equipment
  • Engage in different processes and areas of the QA Department and other areas of the organization to ensure advancement in the QA Technician role
  • Work with Senior Equipment Operators for equipment training and obtain training on specified areas to develop and grow in the QA Technician role
  • Ensure the success of the QA team by collaborating with team members to effectively resolve issues and perform duties
  • Attend all offered training sessions to ensure growth and progression in the QA Technician role
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain the upkeep of the entire QA Test Facility (i.e., empty garbage bins, pressure wash lanes, organize tools, inspect safety equipment, etc.)
  • Continually perform visual inspections of equipment tests
  • Work with high pressure valves and test lines
  • Check and respond to work email correspondence daily
  • Ensure the Maintenance QA Department's success by being available to fill in when the QA Technician team is shorthanded or when the department has made commitments outside of daily duties
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Quality Assurance role preferred
  • Minimum 1 year proven experience working as a Blender Operator, Hydraulic Fracturing Pump Operator, Line Boss, Fluid End Maintenance Technician, or similar experience preferred
  • Must be able to effectively perform duties in a highly fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively interact with team members and personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, able to successfully perform several duties at once with little or no errors
  • Strong time-management skills, able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Organized, with a high attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to analyze problems and enact effective solutions to any issue that may arise
  • Highly effective cross-functional team member, able to collaborate with crew members and personnel across the organization
  • Strong computer software learning skills, proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, and able to utilize all required software used while performing daily duties
