Job Description



We are seeking a Workday Adaptive Planning Systems Analyst that will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the Workday Adaptive Planning at the ACC. This position will be the subject matter expert to ensure day to day operations for all Workday Financial modules at the College, as you will help implement Adaptive Insights and other accounting and financial tools. You will be supporting internal teams (Finance) by building and implementing Workday process changes, system training, as well as integrations and implementations of additional application functionality. The position will report to the Team Leader of Financial Planning and Analysis.

This position is based in Washington, DC where we have a hybrid work environment (2 days a week in the office).

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert on all Workday Adaptive Planning areas.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot in functions within Workday including: Business Processes, Setups, and Integrations.
  • Create and maintain advanced matrix and OfficeConnect Reports, along with enhanced dashboards.
  • Development and maintenance of technical system documentation surrounding all financial processes and related interfaces that impact the financial accounting and reporting systems.
  • Cultivate and coordinate relationships with stakeholders; frequently interacting with leaders and cross-functional partners of varying technical abilities.
  • Understand and communicate accounting and financial policies, procedures, and processes to the division; direct/ coordinate division personnel to ensure proper corporate accounting practice are followed.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance Workday Financials and related processes and reporting.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides, and process flows.
  • Continuous evaluation of system against Workday roadmap, propose changes to business processes and adapt technical solutions to solve business needs.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, Workday updates, and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and optimize performance.
  • Able to train end-users in Workday Adaptive Planning as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or financial fields. Experience in a large not-for-profit or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization on financial, budgeting and accounting issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Information Systems. MBA and/ or CPA is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint is preferred.
