YOU

As an Order Entry Clerk, you will assist the Inside Sales department by data entering all email and faxed orders into the computer, then communicate with the customer on product availability and provide order confirmation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Compile and sort emails and digital orders according to priority. Review orders for any deficiencies prior to entry; resolve discrepancies by using standard procedure or returning incomplete orders to team leader for resolution. Verify customer information is correct. Input customer sales order by inputting alphabetic and numeric information into order entry system. Help with additional duties as determined by management and as needed and as skills develop. Continue to learn and grow within role and take on new challenges toward next levels. (80%)

Communicate with customers by email their order confirmation with unit price, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays. Inform shipping warehouse of pertinent information about the order when necessary. (10%)

Maintain and follow policy and procedures. Also maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • 1 year in data entry or related experience and/or training.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity and basic understanding of product names. (Training in this area will be provided upon hire)
  • Accountability & Dependability: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine customer and internal correspondence.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Results Focused and Initiative: Ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Anticipates and prevents future problems, takes charge to bring about change, and takes initiative with role.

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Riverside, CA.

Pay

$18.08 - $27.12 / Hour
