Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst Product Quality position provides critical business support for our global Quality organization. The Senior Analyst will provide analytics and related expertise within the motorcycle and parts & accessory businesses. Responsibilities include providing analytics support related to quality issues and concerns, offering insights and guidance for decision-making. The role will also assist with larger ad-hoc projects identified by company leadership. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with ambiguity and has an insatiable curiosity to uncover why, not just what.

Job Responsibilities

Specific:

  • Effectively analyze and distill data into patterns, trends, and insights.
    • Identify clear lines of questioning.
    • Extract, wrangle, and structure data from multiple sources.
    • Dive deep with appropriate methods and tools to uncover new insights.
    • Create clear and concise presentations of project results with business implications.
  • Prepare, report, and disseminate quality metrics and other information to the organization.
  • Perform ad-hoc analytics requests to drive product quality improvement.
  • Proactively research and analyze trends, opportunities, and risks related to product quality.
  • Translate business needs to design metrics and dashboards for insight, reporting, and self-service analytics.
  • Support initial investigation and data gathering of potential quality concerns.
  • Champion resolution of quality problems spanning product development and manufacturing.
  • Lead weekly cross-functional warranty review meetings.
  • Facilitate the return of warranty parts from the field, including assessment and disposition.

General:

  • Work with cross-functional groups up, down, and across the organization to obtain results.
  • Support and participate in activities to ensure the effectiveness of Harley-Davidson's Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Participate in projects that drive increased product quality and customer satisfaction.
Education Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline is required. Advanced training in statistics, predictive analytics, business intelligence, or a related field is preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
  • Proven expertise with various quantitative techniques, data formats, and methodologies.
  • Proven expertise with data analytics software and/or languages (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, R, Python, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SQL and proven ability to work with diverse data sources, formats, and frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills in written and oral presentations and reports.
  • Understanding or experience with statistical data analysis methods (e.g., Weibull).
  • Success in solving challenging technical problems with innovative solutions in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate technical subjects in a clear, concise manner to multiple levels of the organization.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, welding) is a plus.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
