Job Summary This position plays a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing the operational workflow within the Accounts Receivable and Payment Posting teams. Working closely with the manager, they are responsible for developing and maintaining staff schedules, identifying and addressing performance issues, and coaching staff on best practices. Additionally, they serve as a liaison to the manager and act as a backup in their absence. What you will do * Works closely with supervisor to develop and maintain staff schedules. Proactively identifies and communicates staff concerns and performance issues to supervisor. Coaches staff on operational best practices and procedures. Serves as back-up in absence of and acts as liaison to manager. * Proactively oversees workflow, identifying and addressing concerns to maintain efficiency. Anticipates and mitigates potential backlogs. Monitors A/R Team work queues and Payment Posting EFT logs. Engages in daily communication with the manager to address operational issues promptly. * Provides support to staff by assisting with daily deposits and processes adjustments for A/R or Payment Posting Teams as required. * Serves as the primary point of contact for A/R and payment posting teams. Responsively addresses staff inquiries and concerns, resolving those within scope and promptly escalating others requiring managerial input. Collaborates with the manager to manage customer complaints effectively. * Acts as a mentor for new staff, implementing trainer's recommendations for individualized learning. Communicates additional one-on-one training requirements to the trainer. Plays a role in the selection and development of new staff. Facilitates training coordination and delivery within the department. Offers feedback for coworker evaluations and supports the manager with performance assessments as necessary. * Assists the Manager with managing absences and department schedules. * Completes miscellaneous projects or requests from Business Office Managers. * Completes staff bi-monthly accuracy audits. * Collects agenda items and concerns for team meetings, contacting manager for urgent issues. Education Qualifications * High School Diploma and/or GED Required Experience Qualifications * 2 years in healthcare Business Office operations. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for Business Office experience.
