Midnight Oil a division of Imagine, strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is an extraordinary creative, and specialty print production partner to the majority of theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. We uniquely and conveniently combine our Studio and Print Production capabilities all under one roof in our 120,000 square feet facility, with an Amtrak stop and the Burbank Airport directly across the street. Position Summary:

The Producer aids in production project execution across the full range of Midnight Oil's client base. The role is accountable to standardized workflows across a wide range of clients and job types. The focus is fluent use of workflow platforms, consisting of Adobe Workfront, iQuote, Monarch and PrintFlow to aid in flawless project execution. This role is directly accountable for project execution that meets or exceeds client expectation. Aspects of this role are consistent client management of project status, activating operators (creative or production), managing milestones to expectations and final delivery. This position is focused on ensuring high quality, on-time delivery that meets client and business objectives. The Producer reports in an Account Manager to be assigned.

Work Location: Onsite in Burbank, CA.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Account Manager when assigned to a project, to execute client-specific production campaigns/projects.
  • Work within Adobe Workfront to project manage, with specific accountabilities such as; create schedules, create project-level tasks, assign tasks, labor tracking and project delivery.
  • Understand the full production workflow process working within iQuote/Monarch/PrintFlow and be able to execute projects from creative approval through color, finishing, imposition, and production/finishing.
  • Work with Logistics to ensure on-time delivery in full for any physical deliverables. 3
  • Understand project milestones in a Workfront schedule to be managed daily to keep both internal partners and clients well informed of timing.
  • Collaborate with service departments leads (color, pre-press, print production, engineering, fabrication, logistics, estimating and purchasing), to ensure that all services performed meet the established objectives.
  • Ensure all file prep work done by Color/Finishing department and Prepress departments meets quality standards and is delivered on time and in-line with the overall project schedule.
  • Ensure technical requirements are adhered to throughout the job.
  • Provide Quality Assurance on all files as they are received and executed, moving through pre-press phases, and prep for final delivery.
  • Navigate within Workfront/Monarch/iQuote to create and manage budgets and costs through the life cycle of project.
  • Ensure estimates in the system contain revenue numbers that are consistent with forecasted revenue from account owners.
  • Manage outsourcing with vendor partners and on-time delivery of final product.
  • Data entry into job tracking system, including creating POs and shipping data.
  • Initiate the billing process and coordinate with Account Manager and Account Director for progress billing on a weekly basis and closing out of project.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience (3-5 years) as a Project Manager or directly related experience.
  • Management of large projects on tight deadlines and budget.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including collaboration and team building. Ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface with color, creative, engineering & product management to manage all project details and deliverables.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view. Able to calibrate to client brand/campaign nuances.
  • Computer skills - Adobe Workfront, Monarch, iQuote, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to digest and interpret - Creative Renders, CAD engineering design packets, SOW's, PO's, Pricing Grids, Compliance Documents
  • Manufacturing and Production experience - Large Format Printing (UV, Conventional, Digital), Lithographic Printing, Engineering, Fabrication and Fulfillment desired but not required.

The national pay range for this role is $80,000- $90,000 per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
