Job Description
As a Senior Videographer/Editor at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, you'll play an important role in serving our diverse audiences of patients and families, health care providers and scientists, and global stakeholders by producing high-quality video and audio content.

Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive creative services such as pre-production planning, videography, and digital editing, while also ensuring the maintenance of all production equipment. You'll be responsible for developing content across various video, digital, social, and audio platforms while managing assets, and upholding production best practices.

Key qualifications include experience in editing both short and long-form content, proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro CC and After Effects, as well as familiarity with complex lighting equipment and motion graphics. In addition to producing, shooting, and editing high-quality short-form videos encompassing various styles, from interviews to documentary shoots, you'll collaborate closely with patients, families, clinical staff, and production team to translate ideas into engaging series and standalone videos.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create visual media assets to help communicate general and technical ideas.
  • Develop creative concepts for various design projects, oversee execution and ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure all established administrative policies and procedures as they apply to project management, organization, approvals, billing and accountability are adhered to.
  • Stay abreast of the latest changes, trends and technological advancements in the industry and provide direction to others in the team to do the same.
  • Keep track of the project activities and ensure team's performance in alignment with the project timelines and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, assistance, and mentoring support to less experienced colleagues particularly on non-routine processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in design, art or related field required.
  • Master's degree or PhD preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience in design, art, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of graphic arts, digital imaging or related areas.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.
  • Advanced skills with animation and motion graphics in After Effects, Fusion, or other related programs preferred.
  • Prior experience with DaVinci Resolve preferred.
  • Proficiency with all Adobe Creative Cloud programs preferred.
  • Experience operating professional camera, audio and lighting equipment preferred.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $29.00 - $50.50 per hour for the role of Senior Videographer/Editor.
