Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Materials Manager will assist in the planning, procurement, storage, control, and allocation of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements. In this position, incumbent will work daily with Supply Chain Program Leads, Operations Management, Procurement, Project Management, and Logistics to assure raw materials/components are available at all times at optimal inventory levels to ensure continuous manufacturing throughout all MannKind commercial and clinical programs.
Essential Duties:
  • Works closely with other Supply Chain colleagues to understand the overall product master supply plans and translates the plans into material requisition planning.
  • Leads Material Requirements Planning (MRP) including maintenance of inventory levels and expiration management while adjusting plans to actual production usage other changes to Master Supply Plans.
  • Manages material/component inventory and coordinates shipping, receiving, and materials storage transactions.
  • Maintains key supplier lead times to ensure inventory levels allow for on-time production and ensure perpetual inventory accuracy.
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities for materials and consumables.
  • Manages inventory reporting for cross-functional visibility (ex. Purchasing, Planning, AP).
  • Assures accurate inventory transactions both internally and with external partners to ensure proper disposition and accounting of damaged or obsolete inventory.
  • Monitors actual component usage data and revises planning documents accordingly.
  • Represents Supply Chain at year-end physical inventory locations for components.
  • Creates purchase order requisitions based on the agreed upon manufacturing plans and inventory levels and liaises with Procurement to ensure purchase order placement and follow-up.
  • Provides and maintains regular forecasts to key vendors.
  • Provides input to the Quarterly Supplier Assessment process focused on supplier delivery, responsiveness, and cost implications.
  • Handles all ancillary processes related to materials/components.
  • Leads reporting activities for MannKind's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ).
  • Adheres to Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) with 5-8 years of experience, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in process analysis, identifying gaps, and leveraging data for continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse management and staff levels.
  • Familiarity with inventory reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, particularly in Advanced Excel functions.
  • Upholds a strong work ethic and prioritizes quality in all tasks.
  • APICS/CSCP Certification is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, approximately 10-15% of the time.

Pay Range: $109,600 - $164,400 per year
