The Professional Coding Auditor is a certified coder with a minimum of 5 years coding experience who works under the supervision of the coding support manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, assist with orientation for new employees, quality assurance audits for internal coding staff, contract staff and defined patient populations; ongoing staff education and performance improvement opportunities


Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30; Remote position

This position will audit PROFEE support coders. Evaluation and management and CPT coding with multiple specialties preferred.

What We Require:

Education: AS degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience: Minimum of 5years experience in Inpatient and Outpatient coding required. Minimum of 2 years' experience related to education and/or quality review. Must be able to demonstrate broad coding knowledge base necessary to review a wide variety of medical records. Demonstrated positive communication skills.

Licensure/certification: Certification in Coding required: CCS, CIC,CPC, COC. Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) at hire or within 24 months

Other Minimum Qualifications: Experience with Excel, Power Point, Presenting data, Strong oral and written communication skills and Collaboration skills.
