Security Officer ARRMC

Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.000001 | On Call | Variable Hours/Variable Days

As a Security Officer, you will make extra money per hour (shift differentials) when working swing, night, and weekend hours:

  • $2.25 extra per hour between 11:00pm and 7:00am (Nights)
  • $1.33 extra per hour between 3:00pm and 11:00pm (Swing Shift)
  • $1.16 extra per hour for weekend shifts

Position Summary

The Security Officer is primarily responsible for the safety of patients, guests, and employees, and the protection of property. They will patrol assigned areas alert for safety hazards, guest difficulties, accidents, disorderly persons, theft, assaultive behaviors, or other situations or conditions which may affect the overall security of the organization.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates Degree in Criminology, Psychology, or related field, preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of security, law enforcement, military, or other related security experience is required.
          • Graduation from an approved law enforcement academy will be considered in lieu of experience.

Taser Training: Employees must complete appropriate taser training before they are released to work any shifts. Information on this training will be provided upon hire.

Licensure/Certifications

  • DPSST: Valid Temporary or Permanent Unarmed or Armed Security Certification from the Department of Public Safety and Standards Training is required upon start.
  • DL: Possession of a valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance is required.
  • Must obtain Oregon Driver's License within 30 days of moving to Oregon (if applicable).
