Job Description:

RN for Cardiology Department which includes Stress Lab and EKG, with overlap into Cardiac Rehab department.
Monday - Friday position with call rotation for weekends. Weekend call rotation is every 5th weekend with full staff in the department.
8-hour shifts weekdays, on call rotation on weekends. Call hours are 7am-3 pm.

Shifts are 0730 - 1600 or 0800 - 1630. Shift may vary depending on vacation schedule for department.
End of shift may be extended depending on emergency room volume and inpatient volume.

JOB DESCRIPTION-

Prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care of patients, participates with patient and family education and provides leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the Cardiology Department.

JOB DUTIES -

• Performs nursing assessments.
• Collaborates with physician and mid-levels in the administration of stress testing.
• Promotes good public relations for the department and Baptist Health Paducah.
• Takes call on regular basis for stress testing.
• Functions appropriately with skills and patient assessment in EECP lab.

QUALIFICATIONS-

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• One year critical care or three years telemetry experience is required.
• Requires BLS and ACLS
• Requires Cardiology background and rhythm interpretation.
