We are looking for our next Director of MARLO Operations supporting the Commercial Support Team, in Fort Worth, TX. As a Director of MARLO Operations you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the digital operational functions that are responsible for supporting the Vision Care platform, MARLO. This position combines responsibilities in business operations, strategic planning, and stakeholder support, requiring the ability to think strategically, act with agility, as well as dive deep and ensure effective delivery.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Lead the US team responsible for developing and managing MARLO data analytics/reporting, fulfillment partnerships and general supply chain needs, and technical and customer support for ECPs, consumers and field team. This team is also critical in maintaining the connective tissue across multiple organizations, including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Vision Care Operations, Accounts Receivable, Customer Master, Product, Engineering, Digital Deployment Team, etc. within Alcon to ensure a seamless and heightened customer experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert with Product and Engineering to strategize and develop new features in MARLO and ensure all downstream business processes are in place prior to launch.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in partnership with the US Vision Care (USVC) and Digital Health (DH) teams, focused on continuous improvement, workforce alignment, and operational excellence.
  • Act as a sounding board, advisor, and support for cross-functional partners in managing the organization and stakeholders in strategy, operations, financial management, personnel, and communications.
  • Drive strategic focus of the team, leading coordination of priorities to support organizational goals and ensuring operational processes and knowledge is in place to support new digital features.
  • Identify accelerators and friction points and drive initiatives or process improvement activities; accordingly, collaborate with team leadership and peers in USVC and DH to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of end to end business processes to unlock significant value in terms of strengthening operations, transforming customer experiences, generating cost saving, revenue lift, and margin improvement.

What you'll bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience

Travel Requirements: 10%

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Strong knowledge of project, program, and portfolio management processes, with an ability to coach and lead others through an ever-changing environment
  • Preferred education in Engineering, Business, Technology, Computer Science ideally with a focus on data science / advanced analytics / data management
  • Prior experience in consulting environment, or as a strategic support leader is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and story-telling skills; able to take complex topics and simplify for broad audiences across levels is required
  • Experience working and communicating with senior executives is needed
  • Experience and track record in creating and deploying significant strategic programs
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and build partnership to deliver results and influence change in a highly matrix organization across complex ecosystems
  • Proven ability to create content, processes, and tools to advance digital and data science capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and track business benefits, including calculating return on investment (ROI), P&L savings, and other key business metrics
  • Energetic, self-driven, passionate, accountable, keen on continuous learning
