About the Role

The Meter Services Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager at Bermex. This position will play a key role in interacting with customers, holding knowledge of industry standards, interfacing with management from within and outside of the department, and leading special initiatives in the meter services department. This position requires a high degree of metering knowledge, excellent time management, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

**Salary Range Transparency: Salary for this role depends on (relevant) experience and qualifications. Salary starts at $58,000/year. **

What You'll Do

  • Meter Reading Supervision
    • Identifies, investigates, and resolves issues ensuring deadlines are met
    • Partners with customers, managers, utility, or other personnel to ensure customer satisfaction with ongoing communication, cooperative problem management, and regular feedback on goal achievement or obstacles experienced
    • Works with Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction
    • Explains and demonstrates work tasks to new workers or assign training tasks to experienced workers
    • Recommends or implements personnel actions, such as employee selection, evaluation, rewards, or disciplinary actions
    • Recommends and implements measures to improve worker motivation, equipment performance, work methods, or customer services
    • Requisitions needed personnel, supplies, equipment, parts, or repair services
  • Meter Services Assistance
    • Drives vehicles or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workers
    • Interprets transportation regulations, safety regulations, or company policies and procedures for workers
    • Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, productivity, or work-related accidents
    • Resolves worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolution
    • Performs or schedules repairs or preventive maintenance of vehicles and other equipment
    • Assists workers in tasks, as needed, such as disconnect and reconnection of consumer accounts
  • Customer Communication
    • Handle customer inquiries when applicable or refer customer complaints to the appropriate authorities,
    • May provide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicable
    • Use telephones, tablets, and/or computers to communicate

About You

Must haves:

  • Education: High School Degree/GED
  • Experience: Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have at least 2 years of experience in gas metering, specifically disconnect and reconnect of natural gas to include pilot relighting
  • Training: Upon hire, the candidate will be required to complete and pass all Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) Training.

Nice to haves:

  • Education: High School Degree/GED
  • Experience: Additional experience in gas metering supervision or a related field

Where We Work

Employees will begin their day at the local office where they will pick up their company vehicle, equipment, and assignments for the day.
