Markon is seeking a seasoned, well rounded, and personable Functional Lead/PM. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with the Program Management Office, and other strong leaders to drive the capture of business requirements, manage personnel performances, and other administrative activities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with customers and leading a team, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to provide input and out of the box ideas to customer and team to facilitate innovation. Sound judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating performance activities, timecard approvals, attending interviews, developing personal growth opportunities, and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Conceptualize, design, and implement solutions to problems reported or discovered
  • Continuously improve the quality of service provided by all teams
  • Deliver timely and high-quality solutions to customer problems and requests focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer
  • Initiate and participate in team meetings to share knowledge with team members and to efficiently resolve problems
  • Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently
  • Strong presentation skills
Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM, management, or related field
  • 8+ years of prior experience supporting large teams and management
  • Experience leading and managing a team of 60+ people
  • Strong background in business process engineering/re-engineering leadership.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Suite of products, especially SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Strong time management, organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify and strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Able to compile data from various sources and tell a story (excel spreadsheets) show gaps, projections, trends, etc.
  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one work area.
  • A higher level degree may substitute additional years of experience.
