About the Job - Warehouse Manager (CE Mid-South)

The Mid-South region of Carrier Enterprise, LLC sells residential and commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through dealers (independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier products to residences and businesses in their respective markets).

The Warehouse Manager supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition and storage of product, supplies and equipment into and from this facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates material flow within organization
  • Improves work flow processes to increase productivity, ensures work force safety and manages warehouse inventory
  • Directly supervises and assigns tasks to Warehouse Associates based on business need and customer priority
  • Supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition and storage of materials, supplies and equipment into and from warehouse
  • Significant involvement in scheduling and routing of equipment/supplies delivery with our onsite trucking partner
  • Communicates directly with customers and coordinates efforts with the sales team
  • Supervises and assigns tasks to Warehouse Associates based on business needs and customer priority
  • Supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, receipt, and storage of supplies and equipment
  • Prepares, monitors, and may be responsible for budget, staffing, and or business/operational results of a functional team or project
  • Directly manages individual contributors. Some overnight travel in assigned territory will be required
  • Coordinates material flow within organization
  • Improves work flow processes to increase productivity, ensureswork force safetyand manages warehouse inventory
  • Oversees the partnership with LTL (less than a load) providers including cost control, damage claim rate, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure IB/OB shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Maintain discipline in use of forklifts (maintenance, speed control, etc.) along with safety of all equipment
  • Maintain safety focused environment and encourage "zero recordable incident/time loss"
  • Provide mentorship and talent development for Warehouse associates

Skills

  • Experienced forklift operator/warehouse shipping and professional, with at least 5-7 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with NxTrend is highly desirable
  • Successful candidate will be proficient in basic PC skills as well as Microsoft Office

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

High School diploma required. BS College degree preferred with minimum AA College degree required

  • Five to ten years of warehouse operational experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, and attention to detail required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • HVAC experience preferred
