ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The Project Engineer plays an integral role in the planning, executing, and completion of large-scale, heavy-civil construction structures. Responsibilities will focus on project planning, procurement, design coordination, budget monitoring, and documentation, all while utilizing industry-standard software tools.

  • Assist in developing and executing project plans, utilizing Oracle P6 Scheduling Software for schedule management.
  • Contribute to project strategy development and implementation, ensuring projects adhere to specified timelines and objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams and associated disciplines.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other tools such as P6 for effective communication and presentation of project details.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, submittals including progress reports, MoM, ITP's, RFP's and technical files, using Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Employ Microsoft Tools for advanced reporting and data analysis.
  • Engage with subcontractors and project-associated disciplines. Ensuring their needs and expectations are effectively managed.
  • Provide regular project updates using clear and concise communication methods.
  • Support in monitoring and managing project budgets using Excel and any ERP System.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and budgetary discrepancies.
  • Ensure project compliance with quality standards and specifications. Utilize tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and Propeller for design and quality control purposes.
  • Identify potential project risks and contribute to developing mitigation strategies.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to address project challenges as they arise.
  • Provide support to project teams and contribute to team development.
  • Participate in team meetings, offering input and feedback to enhance project execution.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive), Oracle P6 Scheduling Software, and either Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

* This position is both outdoors and indoors.

* This work environment may involve minimal to moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.

* Exposure to moving mechanical parts.

* Noise levels in the outdoor work environment is usually loud.

* Ability to wear and work in personnel protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ankle-supporting safety-toed work boots and a safety vest.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
