Job Description:

Location: Houston, TX

Compensation: This is an hourly, project-based position with an expected duration of May 28th through September 30th. Compensation will start at $20.00 per hour and may vary based on experience.

How you will do it...

• Maintain fire rated material documentation system

• Maintain documentation of paint samples used in murals and frosting for ops handover

• Perform daily shopping runs for art supplies and construction materials

• Use google sheets and drive to manage a record of purchases

• Scan and maintain files for all receipts to share with the admin assistant

• Maintain an organized shop space

• Proficient with tools used to assemble furniture and equipment

• Emptying trash

• Maintaining clean paint brushes and rollers

• Disposal of paint water

• Communicate with admin assistant to check in on budget for each anchor space

• Maintaining supply of snacks / water / drinks for ATTF - this is not for all teams on site

• Artwork protection- scanning exhibit daily for artwork needing protection with plastic and ram board

• Protecting and storing art works in progress before installation

• Perform and maintain inventory

• Maintaining rental truck gas, tire pressure, and cleanliness

To be successful in this role...

• Drivers license, insurance, and ability to drive a box truck and/or large pickup truck

• Familiarity with woodshop tools and hardware

• Familiarity with paint and paint tools

• Strong organizational skills

• Able to communicate with artists and team members from a variety of personalities, backgrounds, and artistic disciplines

• Ability to work in a high paced environment

• Good critical thinking skills

• Proficient with Google Sheets

Work environment & physical demands...

• This is a full-time role. Applicants need to be available for work from Monday to Friday for 40 hours with flexibility for weekend work.

• Evening and weekend work could be required as job duties demand.

• This job operates within a professional construction site and warehouse. This role also includes standard equipment use such as powered and non-powered tools and various art making materials.

• The employee will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.

  • The employee will routinely use respirators in the presence of any dusts, fogs, fumes, mists, gasses, smokes, sprays, or vapors. Covid safety protocols must be adhered at all times.

• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. There will be long periods of standing to perform the essential tasks.

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

• Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• The employee will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Travel is not required for this position.
