Job Description

HSE Coordinator

Location: Billings, MT

Contract: 12 months (could extend)

Pay: $38 hr. - $40 hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate daily observations and trends and report findings to supervisor.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily contractor safety meetings
  • Resolve field safety issues with contractors.
  • Actively participate in incident investigations.
  • Support weekly formal project HSE communications meetings.
  • Mentor contractor HSE personnel. Work with construction Field Coordinators to address safety related issues.
  • Lead formal, documented safety audits.

Basic Requirements, Required Skills, and Competencies:

  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and project HSE procedures.
  • Able to effectively interact in a team environment.
  • Ability to coach and influence.
  • Good judgment abilities.
  • Able to master safety policies and regulations quickly with little oversight.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Some construction related field experience.
  • Experience related to assisting with implementation of construction safety programs.
  • Experience with participation in incident investigations.
  • Experience related to dealing with construction companies.
