City of Hope is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse IV to join our team in Upland. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge cancer therapies to our patients, providing comfort, support, and hope during their cancer journey. This opportunity is for 10-hour shifts (4 per week)
- Eligible for Sign On Bonus: $20,000.00
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments with precision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Monitor patients closely during infusions and procedural chemo administrations, assessing for adverse reactions and providing immediate care as needed.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment administration.
- Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence to patients, fostering trust and confidence.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in nursing is required.
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferred background in oncology nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
- ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card
- OCN (preferred)
- Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and a deep understanding of cancer treatment principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
