Director - Resource Management (RN)

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM

Salary: $150,238.00 and up - based on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

The Director of Resource Management for Asante is responsible for planning, administering, directing and coordinating all services provided within the framework of Utilization Resources (Utilization Review, Discharge Planning, Social Work, ED Case Management, Disability Liaison Services, Denial Management/Appeals) for the purpose of moving patients safely along the acute care continuum to the next appropriate lower level of care, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible, in compliance with the rules and regulations governing utilization of resources of Medicare/Medicaid/other government entitlement programs, insurance/managed care organizations, and various other programs/ resources, ensuring optimum health plan benefits for patients and providers.

As a Director of Resource Management, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Encourage feedback from internal and external customers, including patients/families, to monitor service effectiveness, identify problems with work processes, and ensure that all customer needs are met.
  • Demonstrate commitment to performance improvement through active participation in system and departmental projects and by encouraging employee involvement.
  • Assist in maintaining profitability of Asante through innovative and diligent application of sound utilization management principles.
  • Maintain current awareness of all pertinent regulatory requirements and ensure those are implemented and updated as mandated and monitored for continued compliance.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care administration, business or allied health is required.
  • Master's degree in healthcare management, business, nursing, or allied health field, preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated managerial performance in utilization/case management setting, with emphasis on program development and budget preparation is required.

Licensure/Certifications

  • RN: Registered Nurse (RN) by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), required upon start.
  • CCM: Certified Case Manager by Commission for Case Manager Certification, preferred.
  • CPUR: Certified Professional Utilization Review, preferred.
