Job Description

Full-time, second shift RN needed for our 16-bed Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence, RI.

The ASU delivers trauma-informed, client-centered, quality care to adults in crisis, and to those seeking recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.

The unit's nurses are responsible for:

  • Assessing, monitoring, and documenting the psychiatric and medical needs of clients, and consulting with providers as needed
  • Providing crisis intervention, milieu management, and health education as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Administering medications
  • Reviewing referrals
  • Conducting assessments
  • Reconciling and ordering medications

No restraints utilized as facility is voluntary.

We are seeking individuals who value learning and growth and who work well in an interdisciplinary, highly team-oriented setting. At the ASU we value training, supervision, and collaboration, and we are looking for RNs who promote these values. This position involves a high degree of client interaction: people skills and good bedside manner a must.

Bilingual skills compensated.

Education/Licensing Requirements:

Seeking an RN, BSN, or ADN. RI RN licensure required.
