What's the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is looking for a Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant. The Legal team at Anchor QEA is seeking a Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant to assist with achieving strategic goals, managing legal risk, and upholding the legal and ethical integrity of the organization. Our focus is providing comprehensive legal advice to foster sound decision-making. The Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant reports to the In-House Counsel and will assist the legal department in many facets of corporate law, from contract negotiations to maintaining company licensing. The Corporate Paralegal will offer services in a variety of corporate matters and other specific business legal needs.

The Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant will also play a critical role within the legal department, providing support in managing the contract lifecycle from inception through termination. This includes assisting in the drafting of contracts, maintaining an organized database of all contracts, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract law, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and filing various legal documents such as contracts, agreements and operating licenses, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conducting thorough legal research to support company.
  • Managing our contract system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for clients, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Assisting company in organizing and maintaining legal files, including tracking deadlines and important dates.
  • Collaborating with team members to provide comprehensive support for all legal matters and projects.
  • Assist with ethics and compliance programs.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Maintenance of company licenses and registrations
  • Assist with corporate insurance renewals

What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of significant and substantive in-house experience as a paralegal/legal assistant.
  • Experience cite-checking, and correcting general contracts, agreements, and other documents.
  • Profound knowledge of contract law and experience in managing contract life cycles.
  • Excellent time, task, and project management skills and the ability to perform complex tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong professional writing and communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Proficiency in internet and legal research skills and use of computerized business applications (including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Ability to protect company and client confidentiality.

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
