PeopleTec is currently seeking a Defensive Cyber Operator to support our Huntsville, AL location. The successful candidate will work in a SCIF environment providing cyber hunt analysis to secure mission critical systems.

Required Skills/Experience:

Direct experience with deployment of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), vulnerability assessment frameworks, infrastructure detection and discovery techniques
• Experience with configuration and deployment of Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS / IPS), host-based and network-based firewalls, host-based and network-based forensics frameworks
• Utilization of penetration testing techniques and tools to actively secure organizational assets
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings.
• Travel: -/+ 5%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• A completed Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field and 6+ years of experience OR 4+ years of relevant cyber security experience can be substituted in lieu of degree

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience with DoD security requirements
• Previous experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
• GCIH, CISSP, OSCP, GPEN, and CEH certifications
• Experience with Security Incident and Event Management tools such as SPLUNK, ArcSight, Qradar, and Elastic
• Experience with cyber hunt tools such as Carbon Black, Endgame, Wireshark, and Snort
