We have an excellent opportunity for a mid- or senior-level Natural Resources Scientist in our Warwick, RI office.

What you will do:

We are currently seeking a well-rounded mid/senior-level Natural Resource Scientist to support our existing natural resource practice in New England. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 to 10 years of consulting experience in New England, on projects related to natural resource assessments, restoration, and management. The ideal candidate will be proficient in at least one area of the following areas of natural resource management and be able to lead and support a wide variety of projects including NEPA compliance, ecosystem restoration (in conjunction with an engineering team), climate adaptation/resiliency relating to natural resources, freshwater and/or coastal wetland assessments, and/or watershed management plans. The candidates should have experience successfully completing federal, state, and local permitting for projects in New England and/or the Northeast and be able to lead interdisciplinary teams through the regulatory process. A Master's degree (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred and experience with project management is required. Experience preparing proposals and exposure to grant funding requirements is preferred.

What you will need:

• Batchelor's degree (Master's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred) in natural resources, biology, ecology, environmental science or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in New England on projects related to natural resource assessment, management, and/or restoration.
• Experience in one or more of the following technical areas: NEPA compliance, ecosystem restoration, climate adaptation/resilience relating to natural resources, freshwater and/or coastal wetland assessments, watershed management planning, and/or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience navigating federal, state, and local permitting requirements for projects in New England and/or the Northeast.
• Experience preparing proposals and exposure to grant funding requirements is preferred.

Anticipated salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year.
