Description:

Markon is currently seeking a Oracle Database Administrator to support one of our Intelligence Community customers for sustainment effort of COTS application.

Duties include:

  • Maintain the operational integrity of the Oracle Primavera application, ensuring the application is running efficiently, securely and is well integrated.
  • Regularly update and patch the Oracle Primavera application to ensure it is secure and running the latest features.
  • Continuously monitor the application's performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Quickly respond to and resolve any issues that arise within the application, minimizing downtime and disruption to users.
  • Provide technical support to users of the Oracle Primavera application, assisting with any queries or problems they may encounter.
  • Ensure that the Oracle Primavera application is seamlessly integrated with other systems and services, including those hosted on AWS.
  • Utilize Java for customization, troubleshooting and enhancing the functionality of Oracle Primavera application.
  • Utilize Java for managing the application's backend processes and potential customizations.
  • Utilize AWS to manage and configure cloud resources
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure that supports the Oracle Primavera Application to ensure scalability and security.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the system's configuration, customizations, and procedures for future reference and compliance purposes.
Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera including a deep understanding of its architecture and components.
  • Proficiency in SQL is required for database management tasks
  • Heavy experience in Java programming
  • Experience with AWS
  • Strong background in managing and maintaining applications to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Experience in managing databases and COTS applications.
  • Ability to write complex queries, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity.
