Job Title

Training Advisor

Job Summary

The Training Advisor analyzes and understands the department's current performance opportunities, then develops and implements learning strategies and plans to elevate the department's/division's business impact and performance. This individual continually researches, recommends, creates, and integrates new training methods and platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring implementation of performance-based training practices and procedures that are consistent, effective, efficient. and within organizational guidelines.

Essential Functions Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Responsible for developing learning strategies and initiatives that drive performance-based learning experiences.
  • Reviews and utilizes various data analytics and reports such as leaner performance, team performance, trainer evaluation, assessment scores, etc. to enhance the learning experience
  • Provides direction, leadership, feedback, and coaching to the training team and SMEs to meet expectations and master facilitation of diverse subject matter to ensure programs meet desired learning outcomes.
  • Supports leadership, operations, trainers or Subject Matter Experts (SME's) in the development and delivery of the training curriculum.
  • Utilizes industry knowledge and research to assess the training needs of various audiences and makes suggestions for new training methods, approaches, processes, workflows, and changes as needed.
  • Manages the creation, design, and delivery of compelling and engaging performance-based curriculum and course content that meets developmental needs, such as eLearning, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Applies tested instructional design theories, practices, and the methods such as ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) when creating a learning experience.
  • Collaborates with trainers and SME's to effectively identify training needs, goals, and objectives of the department while considering and applying the learning environment, constraints, timelines, and corrective action plans.
  • Supports, collaborates, and provides training for documenting processes and procedures
  • Consults with Talent Development department to identify and integrate new tools and best practices to increase training effectiveness.
  • Creates and maintains the learning templates and guides to develop engaging compelling course content.
  • Develops plans, procedures, goals, strategies, or processors based on data analysis.
  • Develops and maintains process document library and workflow.
  • Develops and maintains training competency and proficiency assessment tools and documentation.
  • Assists the Team Trainer in reviewing various analytics and reports such as rosters, trainer evaluations, assessment scores, etc. to enhance the training experience.
  • Uses data analysis to drive enhancements and best practice training program.
  • Works with leadership to ensure training calendars, plans, delivery schedules, and resourcing meet the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education OR equivalent work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • 1 year experience with curriculum and course development
  • Experience with ADDIE instructional design principles
  • Experience with adult learning theory
Preferred Qualifications Above requirements and the following:
  • Master's degree in related field
  • 3 years' experience in training and documentation
  • 3 years' experience in curriculum and course development
Environment and Cognitive/Physical Demands
  • Office Environment
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve
  • Requires prolonged sitting and telephone use
  • Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, copiers and printers

  • Public speaking required

Below is the salary range for potential new hires.

Salary Range: $52,120 - $85,724 per year

Other Compensation: Incentive Plan
