With a 44 year history, the Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP) is known throughout the Twin Cities as a leader in preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental health issues. Our commitment to clients is to provide a comprehensive array of mental health services. ACP has several different divisions: clinic-based, nursing home-based, school-based, and community-based services.
Our internship program is looking for qualified students to work as Clinical Trainees for 9+ months, providing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, therapy, and rehabilitation skills (ARMHS/CTSS) within our Community-Based Division.

Structure of the Practicum:
  • Opportunities to provide diagnostic assessments and therapy (ARMHS and CTSS optional)
Our interns will develop experience by:
  • Following best practices standards of the program
  • Learning to work in a community-based setting (homes, group homes, etc.)
  • Traveling within the metro area. Possession of a valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.
  • Maintaining a minimum of 10 billable hours per week initially and committing to 15 billable hours per week over the remainder of the internship
  • Working with diverse populations
  • Practicing effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrating mental stability and modeling appropriate boundaries
  • Learning to complete timely and accurate submission of documentation as required
