Insituform Technologies, LLC has an opening for an experienced Logistics Coordinator.

Insituform Technologies, LLC, is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Insituform's businesses consist of sewer, drinking water, and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Insituform's technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methods.

Responsibilities:

  • The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordination of shipment logistics and communications between wet out locations, US and Canada, and customer service support teams to meet customer expectations.
  • This position functions as the primary Logistics Manager for an individual Wet Out facility and is responsible for the coordination of the movement of the reefer fleet to ensure equipment is positioned strategically for job demands.
  • This position is the primary liaison and customer service support between the wet out locations in the areas of equipment, safety, DOT, NAR field operations, MTC, TCC, JB Hunt, other Logistics Vendors and Canadian locations.
  • Provides cost analysis for job bids, logistics, freight, and reefer equipment to provide optimal cost savings, while assisting in generating ideas and implementing cost improvement activities.

Logistical Coordination

  • Hosts weekly conference calls between wet out locations and field operations or third-party customers.
  • Coordinates drivers, both internally and third party (ex JB Hunt) from wet outs to customer job sites.
  • Provides support for all DOT regulatory items, such as overweight permits, size, etc.
  • Works with the wet out facility to ensure the coordination of equipment is prepared to be loaded.

Coordination of Equipment Maintenance

  • Assess and coordinate inspections on equipment.
  • Review Preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to schedule and perform PM's and repairs.
  • Responsible for keeping the reefer fleet up to DOT specifications.
  • Will work with Equipment Managers on various initiatives.
  • Will drive equipment to and from shops for repair.

Customer Service Liaison

  • Primary liaison between the wet out locations, field, and third-party customers. Works to quickly resolve problems and provide support to operations and wet outs.
  • Primary liaison for necessary equipment needed for the shipment of tubes.
  • Will work with other facilities on the coordination and movement of equipment.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years in the logistics field of coordinating or driving and overseeing freight shipments in North America.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have DOT knowledge to successfully coordinate freight, drivers, equipment in a safe manner.
  • Must be strong communicator, both verbal and written, to effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, and general public) and respond to questions.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, implement solutions, provide cost analysis, and present information in a clear, concise method.
