Nurse Practitioner ARRMC (Coumadin Clinic)

Asante is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Coumadin Clinic team in beautiful Medford, Oregon. Working with 3 other Nurse Practitioners, the Coumadin NP will be doing anticoagulation assessments for patients taking Coumadin or Warfarin, including education and/or treatment for acute and chronic health problems as well as preventative care. This is a 0.75 FTE position.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

License / Certification: Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required. Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required.

Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team (i.e. BLS, etc.); Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Experience: Prefer experience providing care for clients requiring anticoagulation therapy using Coumadin, administering Coumadin according to current evidence-based standards of practice.

Other Qualifications: Ability to analyze problems, recognize causes, devise and implement solutions; and demonstrated interpersonal skills to represent department through actions and behaviors showing consideration and respect for internal and external customers.
