The Position

The Retail Coordinator is responsible for daily, monthly, and yearly sales quotas-new customer sales, feature sales, etc. Must provide excellent customer service to current customers in the form of taking payments, answering billing questions, troubleshooting phone issues, and developing a customer base. Typical rep handles 50 customer issues daily. Handle in store operations with inventory counts and equipment exchanges and returns. Cash management of a money drawer daily. Sell other, more complex lines of business such as DSL, Fiber (BXL, Video and landline telephone) and Long Distance. Use a sales process that incorporates service and feature sales with each customer. Act as a trainer in the store for new employees. Training may include the sales process, system usage, handset education, and company procedures The Retail Coordinator will need to have a solid understanding of wireline communications, fiber products and be self-motivated with a drive to succeed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide unparalleled customer service by answering customer inquiries, promoting and selling products and services.
  • Responsible for scheduling and staffing concerns.
  • Will be responsible for meeting monthly quota.
  • Promoting products and service of LUMOS NETWORKS to our current customer base as well as potential customer base. This includes selling service, accessories, and features to walk in customers as well as prospecting new customer through required daily outbound calls, flier distribution, direct mail, and activities.
  • Customer service tasks i.e.: taking payments, checking drop box, resolving billing issues, resolving and repairing phone issues, and answering general questions from our customer base.
  • Responsible for financial management-ensure compliance with all cash handling policies and procedures, ensure daily/weekly Brinks pickups, maintain funds for floats, petty cash, and change fund, verify daily deposits, write incident reports as necessary for accounting; ensure customer payments properly posted; prepare and balance end of day reports; ensure compliance with company auditing requirements for financial accounting.
  • Equipment exchanges and returns for disconnecting customers.
  • Responsible for follow-up, closing sales, building and maintaining internal and external customer relationships, making outbound calls on a regular basis.
  • Follow up with customers with thank you notes and calls.
  • Community and store events, and door to door campaigns
  • Daily duties of reporting, commissions, e-mails, etc

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Education Required. College Degree Desired.
  • Experience: Retail or Sales Experience
  • Key Competencies: Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, proficient computer skills.
