Support Tech 1-Field Support

Additional Position Details:

Location: Primary location in Grants Pass, will be expected to work in Ashland and Medford weekly as needed

Shift: Will be expected to work 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm. Each shift will have an on-call rotation once fully trained

Salary: Starting wage is $21.87 - Increase is based on qualifications, years of relevant experience

The Support Tech 1 for Field Support is an entry level position for the Information Technology Services department. In this role, the Field Support Tech 1 is responsible for support of system hardware and software, working within prescribed procedures under direct supervision, and assisting with installation and implementation as directed and provides end-user Personal Computer (PC) hardware and software support for multiple applications on multiple systems. This position encompasses an entry-level understanding of the PC and printer hardware, network connectivity, PC software and clinical software. The Tech also supports end-user information system capabilities relating to meeting institutional and departmental goals. This role may be required to support a variety of hours and at a variety of locations. May also include on-call work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Associate degree in related field, preferred.

Experience

• 1 year in an IT or IS environment, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, required.

Licensure/Certifications

• ODL: Possession of valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance required.
• One or more of the following, or other computer-related certifications are preferred: A+, MCP, HCI CSS, or HCI HDA.
