What part will you play?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Workforce Planning to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive workforce planning strategy. This pivotal role involves building and institutionalizing a workforce planning department from the ground up, ensuring alignment with our business goals and operational needs. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic vision, deep expertise in workforce planning, and a proven track record of building successful teams and processes in a fast-paced environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and establish the Workforce Planning organization, including defining its structure, roles, and responsibilities, to effectively support the company's growth and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement a strategic workforce planning framework that aligns with the company's long-term vision and operational requirements. This includes forecasting future talent needs, identifying skill gaps, integrating DEI principles, and developing talent acquisition and development strategies.
  • Leverage data analytics and market intelligence to inform workforce decisions and strategies. Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of workforce planning initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, HR, and department heads to integrate workforce planning with business planning, talent management, and budgeting processes. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure buy-in and support for workforce initiatives.
  • Shape and influence the company's approach to contingent labor management, driving efficiency, cost containment and risk mitigation through a strategic Managed Service Provider partnership.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnership with the MSP to ensure seamless and effective management of contingent labor across the organization.
  • Lead change management efforts related to workforce planning and transformation. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to gain support for new initiatives and ensure smooth implementation.
  • Oversee the development of talent management strategies that support employee engagement, retention, and succession planning. Ensure the organization is effectively identifying, developing, and retaining key talent to meet current and future needs.
  • Ensure workforce planning strategies and practices comply with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Identify potential risks related to workforce changes and develop mitigation strategies.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in workforce planning, human resources strategy, or related strategic planning roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in building or significantly transforming, and project management of a workforce planning function within an organization with over 2000 employees.
  • Proficiency with workforce planning software, data visualization tools and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing or overseeing Managed Service Providers and Vendor Management Systems in a large organization.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, legal, finance, and HR departments to ensure a holistic approach to contingent labor management.
  • Knowledge of global workforce planning considerations, such as managing diverse workforce needs across different regions, compliance with international labor laws, or cultural considerations, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in workforce planning and labor strategies.
  • Experience with change management and the ability to drive organizational transformation.
