OverviewJoin the Azure Core Infrastructure Efficiency team and help build the world's most efficient cloud platform. As a Software Engineer II on our team, you will be responsible for designing and building next-generation systems that improve the cost efficiency and sustainability of Azure datacenters. You will also design and develop system software that improves the power efficiency of our servers.Additionally, you will work with the Azure Systems Research Group to evaluate power/energy and workload performance impact from hardware (e.g., CPU, GPU) power management features, and design policies for run-time server power and workload performance management. ResponsibilitiesYou will create and implement code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.You will maintain communication with key partners across the Microsoft ecosystem of engineers.You will contribute to efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.You will contribute to efforts to collect, classify, and analyze data with little oversight on a range of metrics (e.g., health of the system, where bugs might be occurring).You will maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis.You will contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
