Altra Federal Credit Union's Business Banking department is looking to fill a full-time Business Banking Operations Processor position! As a Business Banking Operations Processor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business banking department. You will be responsible to performing various tasks related to account maintenance, transaction processing, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service to our members.

As a Business Banking Operations Processor, you will:

  • Conduct UCC searches, Flood searches, EDR searches, and Entity searches on borrowers and review Articles and Organizational Documentation
  • Work with Regulation B and denied loan processes and review all search documentation prior to closing.
  • Assist with coordinating loan closings and maintaining the department closing calendar and coordinate loan closings with loan officers, title companies and department staff.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of closing documentation, closed loan bookings, and assist with any additional duties as assigned including servicing duties on closed business loans.

Qualified candidates will be required to have a High School diploma, GED or HSED. An associate degree in accounting, finance or business-related field is required. A minimum of one (1) year of similar or related experience is required.

In this position you must be able to prioritize your work, organize your time, and work independently, as well as with a team. Must be able to work with mathematical concepts and apply fundamental concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must have a strong understanding of accounting concepts and how to apply them to financial statement analysis. Must be able to read and understand business loan documents. Must have reasoning ability; able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.

This position is full time, 40-hours a week, Monday through Friday with availability between the staffed hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This position will be located at the located at the Business Banking Building in Onalaska, WI, however, work from home / remote work opportunities are available after 3-6 months of employment once successfully completing all position-specific training, demonstrating consistent and satisfactory work performance, and having an approved workspace with high-speed internet access.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Competitive starting pay starting at $18.57+ per hour, based on experience
  • Bilingual pay premium of $1.00/hour, after completing and passing the Spanish or Hmong oral speaking exam
