Job Description

As a Junior Project Manager, you will use a combination of technical capabilities, a consultancy mindset, and Agile process methodologies to manage projects that deliver solutions to the client. Be part of something big while continuing to grow your project management career!


What You'll Be Doing

  • Attend Action/Admin Officer Council Meetings
  • Perform daily rounds through the ASD/DASD offices
  • Attend weekly CEM meeting with EIS Director
  • Monitor ServiceNow and Service Desk Queue
  • Monitor CEAD and facilitate communications with offices
  • Maintain list of IT POCs for each office
  • Follow up with users to ensure quality delivery of IT Services
  • Monitor the EIS Service Portfolio for changes
  • Participate in ASD/DASD staff meetings, as requested
  • Perform desk-side training for common applications
  • Process VOIP and SCI phone requests
  • Assist with Conference Room IT Management

Location and Travel Details

This position requires onsite work in Arlington, VA 4 days a week.


Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Top Secret Clearance required and willingness to obtain a SCI.


Profile of Success

  • Have strong oral and written communications skills
  • Have previously supported senior military and civilian DoD personnel
  • Be familiar with ServiceNow
  • Be familiar with Microsoft SharePoint, with an emphasis on the following features:
    • Web pages
    • Document Libraries
    • Custom Lists
    • Workflows
    • Wikis
    • Blogs
  • Familiarity with cloud computing with an emphasis on MS Azure Fundamentals
  • Be familiar with OSD Policy's SharePoint implementation
  • Be familiar with all existing OSD Policy IT Services and Mission Applications
  • Be familiar with EIS's organizational structure, including service relationships with the OSD CIO
  • Be familiar with the Policy organization
  • Understand all business procedures within EIS, to include in-processing, out-processing, file transfers, office moves, intranet governance, and service request governance.
  • Be passionate about what they do and what EIS does
  • Be able to accept rejection
  • Be proactive and assertive

Desirable Skills

  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in SharePoint
  • CCBA or CBAP from the International Institute of Business Analysis
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification
