We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level professional as a Strategic Partnership Manager 2 to join our Kontron Family!

This position will develop, execute and own the distribution strategy for North America. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, goal-oriented and self-driven individual who is focused on increasing market share with our valued partners. The Strategic Partnership Manager is the primary point of contact for our Distribution Partners responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships as well as driving development and execution of marketing plans and onsite sales training to increase demand generation and sales.

  • Responsible for creation and execution of Go To Market plan for our distribution partners as well as the overall Distribution Strategy
  • Responsible for driving the planning and execution of the co-marketing plans for our distribution partners in collaboration with marketing
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, serving as the primary point of contact
  • Effectively communicate technical information such as product features and product fit to sales and engineers
  • Plan and execute product trainings for distribution sales and FAEs
  • Coordinate semi-annual executive business reviews
  • Responsible for New Product Introduction into distribution channel - ensure that new products are available to purchase through all distribution partners
  • Bi weekly, in person, meetings at distribution partner branch locations for product trainings with sales and FAEs
  • Drive improvement projects such as adoption of new partner portal and registration process
  • Contract negotiation and maintenance, onboarding of new partners
  • Manage approval of leads and conversion of leads to sales opportunity through registration program
  • Report data to company executives in a comprehensive manner including complete overview of the distribution funnel (leads and opportunities)
  • Provide regular updating of distribution price lists
  • Update and maintain all records related to our distribution partners in the Kontron CRM system

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or a related field required. Masters degree or MBA a plus.
  • 3+ years experience in a high tech industry
  • Background in Product Management or Product Marketing preferred
  • Solid product knowledge or proven ability to learn high tech products
  • Data driven and capable of tracking and presenting results
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through improvement projects
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities
  • Remote position (located within 45 min of major airport)
  • Up to 40% travel required
  • Must have excellent ability to develop and nurture long lasting business relationships, a good sense of time and task prioritization management ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills, operate as part of a team, provide a consultative approach throughout the entire sales process

Salary Description
$130,000-$150,000
