Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

As a key member of the Administrative team, the Cookeville Director of Operations will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the Clinic. The DOO primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all Clinic activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for clinic locations and physician extenders.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Responsible for continuous evaluation of the clinic operations to provide and meet short and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Services as Administrative liaison for physician and employee committees including but not limited to Quality Improvement; performs report updates and presentation to Board and Shareholder as necessary and participates in Administrative team meetings to provide clinical point of view as it relates to areas of responsibility.
  • Monitors the performance of personnel through oversite of and regular meetings with managers to ensure staff scheduling, timely completion of assigned duties and efficient use of time; performs evaluations of direct reports; performs hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions when appropriate.
  • Oversees facilities operations; works closely with architects and designers during construction and renovation projects.
  • Oversees revenue cycle and front desk staff and implements improvement processes for each department to include streamlining AR and collections processes in coordination with the Campbell Clinic Revenue Cycle Team.
  • Responsible for each physician's master schedule; develops new physician schedules and coordinates changes to schedules including implementation dates and clinic wide communication.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors incentive programs in conjunction with the Cookeville COO; ensure payment on a monthly basis.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians as well as management to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance operations performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Cookeville Chief Operating Officer and physicians to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic.
  • Serves as the Privacy Officer to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies.
