We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level role as Electronics Engineer Technician 2 to join our Kontron Family! This role is an onsite position located in our Springfield, OH location. This candidate should be an experienced technician with board level soldering, test and repair capability. The responsibilities are as follows:

  • Support the engineers in their daily work
  • Build and assemble prototypes and small series of electronic circuits / boards
  • Diagnose, trouble shooting and repair electronic circuits
  • Perform tests of circuits, collect and summarize data and write test reports
  • Support testing at customer sites or external test labs
  • Maintain stock of electronic components for engineering
  • Support production (part lists, assembly instructions, estimates, orders, ...)
  • Participate in ISO 9001 and other standards compliance

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology.
  • 5-year experience supporting electronics assembly & design.
  • Ability to interpret documented procedures, read and understand schematics & PCB layouts, drawings and bill of materials.
  • SMT PCB rework experience is a must.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment (e.g. DMM, oscilloscopes, function generator, electronic loads, etc.)
  • Knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC-610 & MIL testing standards are a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Description
$55,000-$65,000
