Job Description

Position Summary

This person will be an integral part of our Automation Development and Integration team. While the primary responsibility of this role will be on integrating automation processes and equipment within our manufacturing operation, this person will also be a key contributor in the conceptual design and testing phases of automation development.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work alongside current Automation Engineers, using the latest industrial automation technologies, to support the continued improvement in manufacturing through-put, labor productivity and quality.
  2. Provide hands-on technical support (troubleshooting) with automated equipment /systems deployed to manufacturing.
  3. Support / Oversee the creation of documentation, work instructions and training guides as required for maintenance and operation of the automated machines/systems. This includes keeping track of engineering changes and updating all necessary documentation and systems.
  4. Travel to our sister facilities. both domestically and internationally, for training, to leverage existing automation designs and support idea generation. Travel may be up to 10% of the time.
  5. Other duties as requested.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Education

BSME, BSEE, BS in Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent with (4) plus years experience with design and integration of automated processes, robotic and/or pick and place systems.

Must be highly motivated, detail oriented with excellent problem-solving / analytical skills. Have a solid understanding of software development and computer programming. Possess engineering leadership, strong research skills, excellent written and communication skills and proficiency with hardware and software development and troubleshooting.
