We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Director of Development and Strategy to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our organization through effective corporate development initiatives. This role requires a combination of financial acumen, strategic and analytical thinking, and persuasive communication skills to identify, evaluate, and execute business opportunities and risks.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Support the identification and evaluation of potential M&A opportunities that align with our company's strategic objectives
  • Lead comprehensive financial analyses, due diligence, and risk assessments for potential acquisitions
  • Oversee 3rd party diligence work streams
  • Coordinate internal alignment and issue resolution on transactions
  • Oversee continuity between pre and post close processes with cross-functional teams from initial evaluation to post close performance integration
  • Board preparation and content creation
  • Ensure successful close and integration; regularly drive lessons learned reviews

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for business expansion
  • Analyze industry landscapes, competitive dynamics, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making

Financial Modeling and Analysis

  • Build complex analytical models, performs financial analysis, and evaluated company and market information to value acquisition opportunities
  • Provide insights into the fiscal impact of various strategic options and recommendations
  • Provides clear and well-founded recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in a corporate development, investment banking, transaction advisory, or private equity environment with end-to-end deal execution
  • Ideal candidate has worked for a highly acquisitive company and is experienced managing multiple acquisitions through all phases of the process
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, and business valuation skills, with ability to analyze and assess complex business opportunities with limited information
  • Experience project managing large cross functional project, with ability to set priorities and create focus for others
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
