Job Description

This position is eligible for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds which includes a one-time $750 sign-on bonus payable after the completion of 90 days of employment as well as a monthly stipend of up to $694.50 which is based upon the hours worked in the previous month for as long as the funds are guaranteed by the State.

About Your Team
Your team will provide therapeutic counseling and case management to support families with children at risk of an out-of-home placement. The primary goal of the program is to fortify the family structure from within by providing families with the ability to raise safe and healthy children.

What You'll Be Doing
You will be responsible for providing service coordination to children and families in crisis, continued follow through and supervision beyond crisis stage in helping families cope with any issues and find longer term solutions. The Clinician will also be responsible for providing outreach family counseling to clients assigned through community-based services utilizing a variety of treatment interventions and working as a team with case workers.

Your Main Priorities
While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:
* Conducts initial and follow-up assessments with client and identified family members/caregivers.
* Develops, implements, and monitors ongoing care plan for each family serviced; coordinates all service components within the agency and in the community.
* Provides community and home-based therapy to assist families secure a safe and independent level of living.
* Works with families dealing with psychological, emotional, and social challenges and helps parents develop healthy coping and parenting skills.
* Utilizes home-based strength model to provide a wide range of assistance and resources to families in the process of reunification or to avoid separation.
* Coordinates services with schools, police, health care providers, court systems, and other service providers.
* Maintains accurate client records, completing documentation requirements.

Who You Are
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
* Master's degree in social work or related field required; eligibility for licensure required (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, etc.).
* Active licensure preferred.
* Minimum 6 months' experience working with children and/or adolescents; experience with child and/or adolescent development, abuse, and crisis intervention.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
* Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
* Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
* Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
* Collaboration and teamwork.
* Must have a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and car registration.
* Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check.
* The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.

Physical Requirements
Direct Service Staff (Travel as part of position):
This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs. This role also requires operating desktop, laptop and/or cell phone, and communicating with colleagues.

Travel Requirements
Site location: Providence
Statewide travel required.
