Description:

Markon is seeking System Engineers to support one of our Intelligence Community customers with the development, integration and management of cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and Intelligence Community (IC) activities for cross-agency and cross-fabric workloads
  • Support development of Multi-Cloud IC Engineering Standards
  • Organize and facilitate integration and architecture meetings
  • Develop Division and Group level KPIs, using statistical analysis models and standards
  • Represent Division and Group at various technical, process improvement, and senior level management meetings
  • Conduct security technical analysis and ensure access control, monitoring, and 'approved to use features' are incorporated into C2E service offerings
  • Track, assess, and recommend use of emerging cloud technologies and services
  • Assist in management of a master schedule that includes life cycle phases, milestones and control gates
  • Identify, evaluate, document and apply process improvements to requirements management and other key process areas, to increase productivity
  • Support analysis of system functionality and business processes to identify and recommend any area for improvement
  • Develop and implement test plans as needed
Job Requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, technical writing, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of fundamental cloud architecture, development of cloud-based web services, and programming languages
  • Experience in overall project management such as project planning, project execution status monitoring and control, risk management, resource allocation and development of relevant project documents (5 - 10 years)
  • Experience in managing a project master schedule that includes life cycle phases, milestones, and control gates (5 - 10 years)
  • Ability to work in highly visible environment and brief customers and senior officials
  • Ability to prioritize work, write in a highly professional manner
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify viable solutions
  • Able to work independently without close supervision; self-motivated and disciplined
  • Ability to perform technical project management tasks
  • Effective presentation, writing and communication skills
  • Job related experience in: Project Management, Requirements Management, Service Delivery Management, Change Management
