Overview

Barnard Construction Company is looking for professionals to join our Pipestem Reservoir Project Team in Jamestown, ND. Barnard is a heavy-civil construction company with projects underway all across North America. Our team specializes in dam construction and rehabilitation, power transmission and distribution, inland marine, oil and gas, and underground work. The Pipestem Reservoir Project is beginning in March of 2023 with an anticipated end date in 2025. Wage rate compensation is in accordance with North Dakota Prevailing Wage Rates for Heavy Construction Projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive and effective manner:

    2 Years experience fueling and oiling heavy equipment preferred.
  • Daily fueling, greasing and fluid level checks on all job site equipment.
  • Perform oil changes on all jobsite equipment.
  • Complete all scheduled maintenance associated with machine services and daily activities.
  • Utilize small assortment of hand tools to complete tasks.
  • Understands safety and occupational hazards of work
  • Keeps lube truck clean and well maintained
  • Valid driver's license

Position Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to handle weight up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to rig and hoist material.
  • Ability to maintain balance.
  • Able to enter cab of equipment that is 3 feet or more off the ground.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
  • Able and willing to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal , state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
