As the Starfish product manager, you will lead the definition and implementation of the industry-leading Starfish Storage unstructured data management platform. Working with company founders, existing and potential customers, and the development teams, you will define features, manage priorities, and manage release schedules. The product consists of a REST API, CLI, and GUI interface that need to be managed as a single solution to help customers manage their data.

Requirements

Qualified applicants must have:

  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility
  • Bachelor's degree is highly desired
  • Current authorization (or will soon be authorized) to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Very strong client-facing skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Independent and self-directed, capable of balancing multiple clients needs and schedules
  • Ability to take customer requirements and create user stories for developers
  • Familiarity with Agile development
  • Ability to partner with the development teams to prioritize and define requirements
  • Experience as a storage software product manager
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with research/enterprise storage systems
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with file systems
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with storage management software
Desired Technical Skills

  • System administration skills
  • Familiarity with common large-site storage systems such as Lustre, Isilon, GPFS, Netapp
  • Understanding / experience in research computing

Salary Range (Estimated): 120k - 240k
