At Slipstream, we inspire new solutions to big energy challenges. We're a nonprofit that seeks to:
What we value
Slipstream's employees are experts in all sorts of things: research, architecture, policy, engineering, HVAC, financing, event planning, communication. What we have in common is our drive to make a big impact in the clean energy transition. Slipstreamers are curious, ambitious, and intentional about the work that we do.
Many Slipstream staff feel a vocational calling around the climate crisis. Some of us want to dismantle the historic injustices related to energy delivery and clean energy program design and implementation. Some of us just want work with meaning, where we help people live safer, healthier lives.
What it's like to work here
Flexible work-life balance. Slipstream has staff members in various states throughout the U.S. and advocates for employees to choose the work environment that works best for them. Some of our staff work 100% remotely, while others choose to work a hybrid schedule. We have offices in Madison, WI and Chicago, IL.
A culture of accountability. We are always working to improve our internal processes. Employees are encouraged to join committees to help each other be more sustainable, fortify our EDI efforts, connect with our communities, and engage with our jobs.
Employee-driven activities: When we have fun, it’s because of our peers’ ideas. Colleagues regularly organize trivia games, Lunch & Learn presentations, and outings to keep things fresh and interact.
Plus... we have a house band, Turbulence!
