At 10x Genomics, we are looking for a Global Sr. Brand Manager with proven experience growing global brands, and by building on 10x’s strong mission, help us create a long-term brand strategy roadmap.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Execute brand audit/study annually in collaboration with our internal marketing insights team and external partners to understand industry and customer trends/sentiment and translate finding into actionable brand strategies
  • Develop a brand pyramid framework to articulate 10x brand identity and market position
  • Build brand architecture and evolve messaging to elevate awareness and preference, influence desired customer behaviors, and grow our business
  • Create a strong and cohesive brand identity through a clear articulation of the brand’s unique value proposition 
  • Develop brand guidelines and a brand playbook to drive a consistent visual and verbal identity as well as messaging framework that can be applied across all channels and physical and digital touchpoints
  • Support co-marketing and distributor management with regards to brand guidelines and playbooks
  • Provide guidance and training to employees to ensure consistent adherence to brand guidelines
  • Work with product, segment and regional marketing managers to deliver communications and campaigns in an integrated manner to the customer, ensuring consistent brand representation
  • Contribute to strategic planning by identifying opportunities for differentiation and staying head of market trends and landscape dynamics
  • Define and execute brand campaigns to achieve specific objectives, partnering with key stakeholders from Corporate Communications, Digital Channels, Content teams
  • Establish key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of brand strategies and campaigns

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications, Art, Social Science) 
  • 5+ years of experience in insight-fueled brand strategy: positioning, frameworks, key messaging, brand analysis
  • Analytical acumen and experience in qualitative and quantitative research, including design, methodology and analysis
  • Experience in developing brand campaigns and brand activations; able to Think-Plan-Do (from creating briefs to planning and scheduling and executing the work, in collaboration with writers and designers)
  • Strong storytelling skills including high proficiency in deck creation and presentation as well as memo writing, as well as distilling complex narratives into simple, digestible information
  • Excellent collaborating and influencing skills, including the ability to work across and up and down different levels of the organization
  • Creative mindset with the ability to innovate and the experience to differentiate brands in competitive environments
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets) to hit the ground running
  • Self-sufficient and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Additional Desirable Skills to Have:

  • Exposure or experience with life science brands
  • Understanding of customer needs within academic research, translational research, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the life science space

 

Below is the base pay range for this full time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.  Your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package during the hiring process.
