About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager, Spatial to drive the global downstream marketing efforts of our cutting-edge Spatial product portfolio. This position will be responsible for supporting the Xenium and Visium specific marketing strategy and execution of new and on-market products, ensuring alignment with and support for the achievement of our strategic and revenue goals. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of product marketing, competitive landscape, and product launches, which will be leveraged to drive strategy, positioning, and messaging in launch and on-market product marketing and sales enablement activities. The role will be responsible for the creation and deployment of marketing assets through appropriate channels, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration to drive alignment and coordination of org-wide marketing and sales activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Global Product Launches and Extensions:

Take ownership of global product launches and product extensions, including targeting, messaging, and communication planning and execution. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product introductions and adoption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align launch activities and timelines.

  • On-Market Asset Management:

Maintain and optimize product-level on-market assets, including websites, brochures, and product presentations. Ensure all assets are up-to-date, accurate, and consistent with our brand guidelines and messaging. Continuously monitor and analyze asset performance, making data-driven improvements as needed.

  • Positioning and Messaging:

Develop and maintain product-specific positioning and messaging, including positioning statements and message maps. Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning strategies. Collaborate with product management and sales teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.

  • Sales Enablement and Customer-Facing Tools:

Create sales enablement and customer-facing tools/assets in close collaboration with product management and sales teams. Develop product demos, sales presentations, battle cards, and other resources to support the sales process. Train sales teams on product features, benefits, and positioning to drive effective customer conversations.

  • Commercialization Planning and Reporting: 

Prepare comprehensive commercialization plans and present them in phase exit commercial reviews. Provide regular updates to spatial leadership for executive review meetings. Monitor and report on the progress and success of commercialization efforts.

  • Content Development Guidance:

Guide the content development team with critical and specific information needed for the development of effective marketing communications. Ensure all content aligns with our positioning, messaging, and target audience needs. Review and provide feedback on content pieces to maintain high quality and consistency.

  • Omnichannel Campaign Execution and Reporting:

 Execute and report performance of full-funnel, omnichannel campaigns with an iterative, data-driven approach to all campaign tactics. Develop and manage campaign budgets, timelines, and resources. Continuously optimize campaigns based on performance data and insights.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Drive a high level of interaction and engagement around launch activities between other departments (e.g., Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Management, Technical Support, and R&D). Ensure coordination of activities and successful launch execution through effective communication and collaboration. Foster a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Life Sciences.
  • A minimum 5 years of Product Marketing in the Life Science Tools industry.
  • Deep experience in omni-channel marketing and building effective communication strategies is essential. 
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau, Airtable).
  • Deep understanding and ability to implement "best practices" in brand and product marketing.
  • Experience project managing activities with cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to build credibility and relationships across functions and levels
  • Ability to highly effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills
  • High level of organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Marketing communications experience highly desired
  • Exposure to spatial marketing is highly desired. 
  • MS or PhD is preferred
  • MBA with emphasis in marketing is preferred

Below is the base pay range for this full time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.  Your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package during the hiring process.
