Job Description

Fibertek is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, with the ability to perform a wide range of electronics technician tasks primarily involving the integration and test of electronics systems. Fibertek is a leading developer of laser and electro-optical systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to earth-sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers.
 

Your Job

The Electronics Technician will perform a wide range of hands-on tasks related to the assembly, integration, and test of electronics circuit boards, systems and associated cabling/harnessing. The Electronics Technician will work both independently and on small teams on projects that may include design, prototyping, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of components, circuitry, boards, and systems. The more the job applicant can contribute to any and all of the above, the more valuable they will be to the company. Your role will include:

  • Cable/harness design, build, and test
  • Electronics board and box integration and test
  • Electronics lab custodian
  • Participation in tests and experiments

Required Skills and Experience

  • EE Associate’s degree preferred
  • Experience assembling and testing electronics systems
  • Familiarity with the use of lab instruments and equipment: power supply configuration and set-up, oscilloscope operation and data capture, DMMs, voltage, current, and power measurements
  • Familiarity with standard components and circuits (resistors, capacitors, etc.) preferred
  • Any experience with schematic capture and layout tools (Altium, Pads, etc.) would be considered a bonus.
